We call it lambada, Brazilian zouk, lambazouk or zouk. This joyful and sensual dance from Brazil is developing all over Europe and around the world. But did you know that it has all its origins in lambada? A dance that adapts to various musical genres Lambada music has gone out of fashion but the dance has survived as the dancers are already accustomed to other styles of music. Slower rhythms of R’nB or zouk love have evolved the dance, towards what is called the zouk "Rio style". While kizomba, antillean zouk and reggaeton are the music of choice for lambada or zouk dancers known as "Porto Seguro style". Today, Brazilian zouk is still evolving, and takes several names: zouk, lambazouk, néo-zouk, Mzouk, soulzouk, zouk revolution, RnbZouk ... The family is growing but does not forget its mother, the lambada.
