Gilson started dancing Lambada 34 years ago when this dance was very popular. Since that moment he fell in love with this dance, he spent years of love and dedication on Lambada and Brazilian Zouk (which has its origin in Lambada)<\/p>

In 1991 he brought Lambada-Zouk to Argentina, and transformed it into one of the most attractive dances, desired by Argentineans. There, he participated in TV \u2013 shows and performed as a dancer with famous artists. In 1992 he started, with his formal dance partner Fabiola Prestes, a successful brazilian nightclub called \u201cPorto Seguro\u201d, where they started to teach various Brazilian dance styles such as Lambada-Zouk, Forro, Samba de Gafieira, and Axe. They also performed at different events. In 1997, he began to organize Brazilian Zouk\/Lambada parties in the most famous club in Buenos Aires, \u201cMaluco Beleza\u201d, which continued for eight years.<\/p>

In 2004 he is invited to Europe for the first LambaZouk Dance Congress in Barcelona organised by Daniel and Leticia. There he met a lot of dance teachers from Europe, including Claudia de Vries. In 2006, she invited him for her second BrasaZouk Congress. This was his first time in Holland. From that moment Gilson started his project to travel around the world to expand Brazilian Zouk\/Lambada.<\/p>

From 5th May 2014 until 18th January 2015, Gilson danced with Brazouka Dance Company (www.brazouka.info) and he performed in different countries such as: Scotland, United Kingdom, South Africa, and Australia.<\/p>

He had a 08 years legendary partnership with Natasha Terekhina. Their dance inspired a lot of dancers and is definitely a beautiful reference in the history of this dance..<\/p>

He also performed at numerous countries such as: England, Austria, United States,Switzerland, France, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, Argentina, Chile, Suriname, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Russia,Romanie, Ukraine, Finland, Australia, Finland, Poland, Scotland, Turkey, Japan, China, Canada, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Ta\u00efwan, Vietnam, South Korea, Mexico, and Israel.<\/p>

Gilson is part of the Lambada World dance Council from 2024 and one of the Directors of the Brazilian Zouk dance Council since 2014, wich serves, supports, and promotes all aspects of Brazilian Zouk, encouraging the growth of this great dance throughout the world.<\/p>

He has been recently invited in the biggest festivals around the world, such as Rio Zouk Congress, IZC Sao Paulo, ZoukMX Mexico, Warsaw Zouk Festival, Canada Zouk Congress,One Zouk Congress,Australia,Madrid Bachata & Zouk Congress, Zouk Time Croatia,Dallas Zouk & Lambada Festival, and many others\u2026<\/p>

As part of his project to expand Brazilian Zouk\/Lambada to Europe, Gilson teaches weekly in the Netherlands. Well known for his clear and precise explanation of techniques and leading a partner, he is surely one the big references in the dance world.<\/p>

During 2023 and 2024, he has been collaborating with partners such as Jessica Lamdon, Ruana Vasquez,and Olaya Loscertales, \u00a0 but also dancers from the \u201cnew generation\u201d, full of energy and talent, like Cibele Guimaraes and Sara Bezerra, giving them an opportunity to show their art!<\/p>

Gilson is the organizer of Brazilian Dance Festival in Amsterdam, an international dance event which unifies Brazilian Zouk and Lambada across the board, bringing many Djs, teachers, and dancers together for the past 5 years.<\/p>

One of the first pioneers of this beautiful dance, Gilson has witnessed and experienced the evolution of this dance till today, helping and supporting the new generation pave their path and build their careers.<\/p>
