:: Bruno<\/p>

Bruno Prado is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer born in Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>

Bruno began his dance career in 2008 studying Brazilian ballroom dance at CDAC (Centro de Dan\u00e7a Alex de Carvalho) in Rio and graduated as a teacher from the same school in 2013.<\/p>

With Brazilian Zouk and Forr\u00f3, he has been to 22 countries and participated as a teacher in many festivals and congresses, for example Ilha do Zouk (Rio de Janeiro), Hamburg Zouk Festival, Russia Zouk Congress (Saint Petersburg), Frankfurt Zouk Congress, Moscow Zouk Congress, Cologne Zouk Festival and Mac Festival (Paris).<\/p>

Bruno was present at all Mac editions in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2023. Since 2018, he has been teaching Brazilian zouk in Germany and now has his own community in Bochum and with projects involving in D\u00fcsseldorf, Dortmund and Essen.<\/p>

His main goal is to further develop Brazilian zouk, a dance he is very passionate about.<\/p>

:: Julia<\/p>

Julinha is a German professional Brazilian Zouk & Lambada\u00a0 instructor whose teaching journey began teaching in Cologne since 2015. As a certified MAC Program instructor (Alex de Carvalho & Mathilde dos Santos, 2018) and Brazilian Zouk Dance Council Judge & instructor certified by Kadu & Larissa (2020), she brings a unique blend of pedagogical expertise from her university studies and anatomical knowledge from her background as a licensed fitness instructor. She continues to educate herself and has recently completed one \u201cZouk Needs You\u201d training by Val & Vanessa (2024)and started diving into lambada doing the Lambada Mastery with Ariel & Leticia (2024).<\/p>

Her international teaching portfolio includes prestigious events across three continents: IZC S\u00e3o Paulo (Brazil), Empowering The Follower (San Francisco), Warsaw Zouk Festival (Poland), BDF Amsterdam, MAC Festival (Paris) and ZoukTime Croatia, among others, where she taught either solo or in collaborations with other amazing teachers. She is also the first German dancer and third European to enter the Brazilian Zouk JnJ Advanced Division.

<\/p>

Julinha’s teaching philosophy emphasizes anatomically sound techniques and shared responsibility between partners. Her meticulously structured classes focus on developing comfortable dancing through clean footwork, smooth weight transfers, and safe upper body movement, all while maintaining an engaging, inclusive atmosphere.<\/p>

Since 2015, she has been instrumental in developing the German Zouk scene, particularly in Cologne where she runs regular classes and directs the ZoukCologne teachers team but also in Bochum where she teaches regular classes together with Bruno Prado. She organizes the Cologne Zouk Festival, Germany’s largest Zouk event, and introduced the country’s first official BZDC Jack and Jill competitions. Anna and Jannis started teaching Brazilian Zouk in Aachen, Germany, in 2018 and built up the local Zouk community.<\/p>

At the beginning, their dancing and teaching was mainly influenced by Fernando from Bremen, who was Jannis first teacher in 2013, and by Holger from Bonn. Nowadays, they aremainly improving their dancing by learning from Kadu Pires and Bruno and Raiza Galhardo.<\/p>

Their teaching methodology is mainly influenced by Kadu & Larissa (K&L certificate) and by Alex de Carvalho (MAC certificate, Anna 1stplace in graduates 2022).<\/p>

The dancing and teaching of Anna & Jannis is also influenced by many other dances. Besides of Brazilian Zouk, they are dancing European Ballroom and Latin Dances, which Anna also teachessince 2017, as well as many other Latin social dances like Salsa and Bachata.<\/p>

:: Sabrina<\/p>

Sabrina Beija-Flor is a Brazilian zouk instructor, DJ and organiser based in Paris. She is one of the founder of the brazilian zouk community in Paris in 2009. Member of Alex de Carvalho’s team since 2014, she is now teaching with him advanced regular classes in Paris, and at the Mac training project. She also gives regular classes with her team. Sabrina is organising a monthly party with guest DJs and weekenders with artists in Paris, or travelling to festivals as teacher or DJ.<\/p>

:: Melonito<\/p>

Melania Marichal, known as Melonito, is a dancer and instructor from Spain. Versatile on the dance floor, she’s focus in Bachata and Zouk as her main styles, but she also enjoys dancing Salsa and Kizomba in any role \ud83d\ude43<\/span>. Her focus is 100% on social dancing, and her style, influenced by hip hop and urban rhythms, makes her dancing even more dynamic and fun.<\/p>

As founder of Diversidance, she has been working for over 5 years to break gender roles in dance, using her activism to inspire positive change. :: Ilse<\/p>

Ilse is an enthusiastic (MAC certified) Brazilian zouk instructor and MC from the land of the stroopwaffles.<\/p>

Over the years, Ilse has trained in various dance styles, starting with musical classes at 12 years old, and a bit of hiphop throughout her youth, hence her love for drama and groove. She has been dancing for 13 years and teaching for 7.<\/p>

Ilse credits the growth she\u2019s been able to see in her dance to her home school of TotallyZouk and teachers the likes of Ruanita Santos, Felipe Nascimento, Thayn\u00e1 trovick, Val & Vanessa, K\u00e1ssio, L\u00e9o Chaffe, Julinha, Lisa d.v.d. Plaats, and Alex de Carvalho.\u00a0<\/p>

Ilse is known for her creativity, connection, and playfulness in her dance. As a teacher today, she brings these same qualities. Years of hospitality work has taught her the empathy and knowledge of the human nature she uses to connect with and guide students. Her goals in class are to leave people with more self-confidence in authenticity, body-awareness but most of all, a big smile on their face!\u00a0<\/p>

:: Lisa<\/p>

Lisa started dancing at the age of four with Jazz and Ballet. During her university years in 2010, she expanded her repertoire by exploring partner dances such as Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba. In 2014, she discovered Brazilian Zouk\u2014a moment that reshaped her dance career. Lisa quickly mastered both leading and following, often dancing five nights a week. Her love for Brazilian Zouk also inspired her to study related dance styles, including Samba de Gafieira, Forr\u00f3, and West Coast Swing. In 2022, she embraced a new challenge by diving into Lambada\/Lambazouk, training intensively to quench her curiosity and refine her skills.<\/p>

Lisa has been continuously developing her knowledge and skills in Brazilian Zouk and teaching in general. In 2017, she completed a yearlong teacher training course at Dancalegria in Rotterdam. She further advanced her teaching methodology in 2021 by completing all five modules of the MAC Project, becoming the first certified Brazilian Zouk instructor in the Netherlands under Alex de Carvalho\u2019s MAC training program.<\/p>

Since 2017, Lisa has been a driving force behind the Brazilian Zouk community in Utrecht. As the founder of Utrecht Zouk, she has built one of the largest Zouk communities in the Netherlands. She organizes weekly progressive classes and special events, cultivating a welcoming and vibrant environment. Known for her softness and flexibility as a dancer and her clear technical instruction as a teacher, Lisa\u2019s expertise spans both roles of Brazilian Zouk, enabling her to teach leaders and followers at an advanced level.<\/p>

Since 2019, Lisa has partnered with Marcos, sharing a mission to showcase the beauty and playfulness of Brazilian Zouk while bringing the latest techniques from the global dance floor to their students. Beyond her local work, Lisa collaborates with renowned artists such as Gilson Damasco (Lambada) and Jules Bertrand (KiZouk), teaching workshops and participating in training projects across Europe.<\/p>

Over the past decade, Lisa has performed at major events like Warsaw Zouk Festival and BDF Amsterdam, taught at festivals including Cologne Zouk Festival, ZoukTime Brno, and the MAC Festival in Paris, and attended international congresses such as the Canada Zouk Congress, Madrid Zouk Bachata Congress, and Rio Zouk Congress. Samuel Funflow is a dancer instructor and choreographer from Spain. One the most multitasking dancers out there: Salsa, Bachata, Brazilian Zouk, Urban kizomba,… he just does it all!He gives an extra spicy touch to all these rhythms mixing them with some hip hop and urban energy.<\/p>

Dancing is his passion and he absolutely adore social parties having non-stop “funflow” with everyone. So ladies and gentlemen, get ready to rock the dance floor with him!<\/p>

Samuel on stage is the perfect mixture of style and flavour and his shows always have a story to tell you. His classes, characterized by his methodical teaching and his spontaneous sense of humor, are very well known and appreciated in the dancing community.<\/p>


He is one of the founders of Diversidance, project created to deconstruct the gender roles in dancing and with his activism on social media tries to use
the dance to make the world a better place.<\/p>

Samuel became world Salsa champion in the category impro social couple of the prestigious competition Salsanam\u00e1 in 2023.<\/p>

Originally from Poland, has been dancing Brazilian Zouk for 13 years. After moving to Paris in 2017, she joined the DBAC (Danse Br\u00e9silien Alex de Carvalho) team and began teaching under her mentor, Alex de Carvalho.<\/p>

In 2018, she earned her MAC (Methodology Alex de Carvalho) teaching certification and has co-taught in the MAC program alongside Alex since 2020. From 2019 to 2022,she partnered with Mikael Bozon and later until end of 2023 Gab Lacarriere, teaching regular Zouk and Lambada classes in Paris and performing at festivals across Europe and South America.<\/p>

For the past four years, Patrycja has assisted Alex de Carvalho at international congresses, teaching workshops, co-organizing, and co-examining in the MAC program. She also contributes to the Paris Zouk and Lambada community by organizing events, including the France\u2019s first Lambada festival.<\/p>
