Became publicly acknowledged by Brazilian and international society for the adoption of his own style by applying general techniques of Street Dance in social dancing. As a choreographer works with bands performing concerts in Brazil, Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Starting in 2010 he decided to invest more in zouk and soon became a choreographic assistant in Cia Renato Veronezi. At the same time, he achieved excellent results in major zouk national championships. He was vice-champion of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Brazil and worldwide between 2010 and 2011. Since then he traveled to several Brazilian cities participating in congresses and workshops. Among others are Florian\u00f3polis(SC), Cuiab\u00e1 (MT), Rio de Janeiro, Uberl\u00e2ndia (MG), Bras\u00edlia (DF).<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">In 2012, he began his international career and has already worked in many countries in Europe, Asia, Oceania and America.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Ruana Vasquez<\/strong><\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Ruana taught classes and danced all over Brazil and in more than 15 countries, among them: Mexico, Australia, the United States and several countries in Europe. Besides acting as a teacher and dancer, she is choreographer, judge, competitor, coach, producer and promoter of dance events. Nationally and internationally renowned for the career developed in Brazilian Zouk, Ruana was one of the main contributors for the growth and development of this dance in the city of Fortaleza and one of the pioneers to develop an independent career without a partner.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Born in Fortaleza, Brazil, she joined social dance community through Forr\u00f3 in 2004, when she was still a teenager. In 2006, seventeen years old, she became a professional dancer\/instructor and began working at the Casa de Dan\u00e7a Tonny Palhano in Fortaleza, with Francisco Palhano and Goretti Regis, at the same school where she had her social dance training. She studied: Forr\u00f3, Samba, Bolero, Soltinho, Waltz, Merengue, Salsa, Chachacha, Zouk, Lambada, Bachata and Tango. To increase her knowledge in dance, she attended Ballet, Jazz, Belly Dance, Artistic Gymnastics classes and joined the Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Physical Education, at the Federal University of Cear\u00e1 (UFC). That same year, she choreographer her first Zouk choreography. In parallel, under the influence of her masters and in front of the boom of Salsa in Brazil, she dedicated herself more to Tango and Salsa. She was 3rd (2007) and 2nd (2008), in the Salsa Open &#8211; northeast edition, qualifying for the Nationals in S\u00e3o Paulo (2008), where she placed 7th.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">In 2008, Ruana decided to dedicate herself to Zouk and to the growth of this dance in her hometown. She taught classes, did demos, organized events all over Fortaleza. She traveled to learn more in Porto Seguro, S\u00e3o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. She did the Zouk Teacher Training Course with Rodrigo Delano (2010). She has developed projects, such as: C \u00e9 Zouk? (2010), blog with information about Zouk in Fortaleza. The blog not only promoted Zouk but also became a producer of major events in the city, including: the first Zouk FlashMob in Fortaleza (2011), the charity event called Dia Z (2012), and Fortaleza SoulZouk Festival (2012). Another highlight was the Grupo de estudos de Zouk (GEZ) na UFC. The GEZ offers students at the Federal University of Cear\u00e1 knowledge about Zouk. She was the coordinator of the project in 2011 and 2012. Today the project is still active, although isn&#8217;t in her direction anymore.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Known for her versatility as a &#8220;follower&#8221;, she is able to adapt to different Zouk lines. Ruana is also experienced in leading technique. She has developed ers career between solo works and works done in partnership with other renowned professionals, among them are: Mafie Zouker, Rodrigo Delano, K-yo, DJ Kakah and Dadinho. Despite having developed her career, largely without a partner, she had two notable partnerships: Rick Torri, with whom she started traveling through Brazil (2010); and Val Clemente, with whom she made her first international tour to Europe (2013).<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Ruana is honored to have managed to develop her independent career, inspiring and influencing many changes in the scene. She taught in major dance festivals independently, for example: Swing Zouk Weekend (Fortaleza, BRA), Rio Zouk Congress (Rio de Janeiro, BRA), F.I.E.L. (BALLA, HOL), I&#8217;m Zouk Festival (Miami, USA), MAC Project (Paris, FRA), LA BKS Festival (Los Angeles, USA), SF Zouk Me Summer Fest San Francisco, USA), ZoukTime Congress (Brno, CZE), The Brazilian Open (Fortaleza, BRA), among other events.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">She was also responsible for growth of Zouk in the state of California, United States. Where Joe Sandoval hired her, with the help of Igor Fraga, to work on the growing the scene for one year, between 2014 and 2015. In the United States, she developed projects such as: Zouk California, a website with information about Zouk; the Brazilian Zouk OC, a weekly event in Orange County; Zouk SF, weekly event in San Francisco, among others.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Recently, she is part of the team of speakers and guest instructors of the MAC Project (Paris, France): Teacher&#8217;s Course based on the Alex de Carvalho Method, created and organized by Alex de Carvalho. The MAC Project is already expanding to other countries. She is also one of the official judges of the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council (BZDC). She judged, among others, the first official Zouk JandJ Competition at Rio Zouk Congress (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2016); and the first official Advanced Zouk JandJ Competition in the World at Rio Zouk Congress (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2019). She also is a competidor at the Zouk Jack and Jill competitions, in the All Star \/ Champion category.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">A restless student, Ruana is always looking for more knowledge and new challenges. She is currently studying West Coast Swing (2010), Kizomba (2011) and, lately, Urban Dances. At the WCS competitions, she made finals at the Novice JandJ at the US Open (USA 2014), 4th place Novice JandJ at SwingDiego (USA 2015), 1st place Novice JandJ, 2nd place Novice Strictly and 2nd place Rising Star at The Brazilian Open (2016), 5th and 6th place Intermediate JandJ at The Brazilian Open (2018).<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Her studies and works are based especially on fundamentals, technique and connection. All this approached with her unique, fun and captivating personality. Tornou-se publicamente reconhecido pela sociedade brasileira e internacional pela ado\u00e7\u00e3o de seu pr\u00f3prio estilo, aplicando t\u00e9cnicas gerais de hip hop na dan\u00e7a social. Como core\u00f3grafo, trabalhou com bandas realizando shows no Brasil, Cro\u00e1cia, Eslov\u00eania e It\u00e1lia.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Em 2010 ele decidiu investir mais em zouk e logo se tornou assistente coreogr\u00e1fico na Cia Renato Veronezi. Ao mesmo tempo, obteve excelentes resultados nos principais campeonatos nacionais de zouk. Foi vice-campe\u00e3o de S\u00e3o Paulo, Minas Gerais, Brasil e mundial entre 2010 e 2011. Desde ent\u00e3o, viajou para diversas cidades brasileiras participando de congressos e workshops. Entre outros, est\u00e3o Florian\u00f3polis (SC), Cuiab\u00e1 (MT), Rio de Janeiro, Uberl\u00e2ndia (MG), Bras\u00edlia (DF).<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Em 2012, iniciou sua carreira internacional e j\u00e1 lecionou e atuou em muitos pa\u00edses da Europa, \u00c1sia, Oceania e Am\u00e9rica.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Ruana Vasquez<\/strong><\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Ruana ministrou aulas e dan\u00e7ou por todo o Brasil e em mais de 15 pa\u00edses, dentre eles: M\u00e9xico, Austr\u00e1lia, Estados Unidos e diversos pa\u00edses na Europa. Al\u00e9m de atuar como professora e dan\u00e7arina, \u00e9 core\u00f3grafa, ju\u00edza de competi\u00e7\u00f5es, competidora, treinadora, produtora e promotora de eventos de dan\u00e7a. Seu nome \u00e9 reconhecido nacional e internacionalmente pela carreira desenvolvida no Zouk Brasileiro. Foi uma das grandes respons\u00e1veis pelo crescimento e desenvolvimento do Zouk na cidade de Fortaleza e uma das pioneiras a desenvolver uma carreira independente sem um parceiro.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Nascida em Fortaleza, conheceu a dan\u00e7a de sal\u00e3o pelo Forr\u00f3, em 2004, ainda na adolesc\u00eancia. Em 2006, aos 17 anos, profissionalizou-se e come\u00e7ou a trabalhar na Casa de Dan\u00e7a Tonny Palhano, em Fortaleza, com Francisco Palhano e Goretti Regis. Nessa \u00e9poca, teve sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o em dan\u00e7a de sal\u00e3o, estudou: Forr\u00f3, Samba, Bolero, Soltinho, Valsa, Merengue, Salsa, Chachacha, Zouk, Lambada, Bachata e Tango. Para incrementar seu conhecimento na dan\u00e7a, frequentou aulas de Ballet, Jazz, Dan\u00e7a do Ventre e Gin\u00e1stica Art\u00edstica. Ingressou no curso de Bacharelado em Educa\u00e7\u00e3o F\u00edsica, na Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1. Ainda no mesmo ano, montou sua primeira coreografia de Zouk . Em paralelo, por influ\u00eancia de seus mestres, e diante do auge da Salsa, no Brasil, dedicou-se mais ao Tango e a Salsa. Foi terceiro (2007) e segundo (2008) lugar , no Salsa Open &#8211; edi\u00e7\u00e3o nordeste, classificando-se para edi\u00e7\u00e3o nacional em S\u00e3o Paulo (2008), onde ficou em s\u00e9timo lugar.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Em 2008, Ruana decidiu se dedicar prioritariamente ao Zouk e ao crescimento dessa dan\u00e7a em sua cidade natal. Ministrou aulas, apresentou-se, organizou eventos por toda Fortaleza. Viajou em busca de conhecimento para Porto Seguro, para S\u00e3o Paulo, para o Rio de Janeiro e para Belo Horizonte. Fez o Curso de Forma\u00e7\u00e3o de Professores de Zouk com Rodrigo Delano (2010). Dentre os projetos que desenvolveu, destaca-se: C \u00e9 Zouk? (2010), blog com informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre Zouk, em Fortaleza. O blog n\u00e3o s\u00f3 promovia o Zouk como tamb\u00e9m se tornou um produtor de grandes eventos na cidade, incluindo: o primeiro FlashMob de Zouk em Fortaleza (2011), o evento beneficente chamado Dia Z (2012), e Fortaleza SoulZouk Festival (2012). Outro grande projeto de destaque foi o Grupo de Estudos de Zouk da UFC. O Grupo de Estudos oferece aos alunos da Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 conhecimentos sobre Zouk. Foi coordenadora do projeto em 2011 e 2012. Hoje o projeto continua ativo embora n\u00e3o esteja mais em sua dire\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Conhecida por sua versatilidade como &#8220;follower&#8221;, \u00e9 capaz de se adaptar a diferentes linhas do Zouk. Apesar de ter desenvolvido sua carreira, em grande parte, sem parceiro, teve duas not\u00e1veis parcerias: Rick Torri, com quem come\u00e7ou a viajar pelo Brasil (2010); e Val Clemente, com quem fez sua primeira turn\u00ea internacional para Europa (2013).<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Ruana sente-se honrada de ter conseguido desenvolver sua carreira independente, inspirando e influenciando muitas mudan\u00e7as no meio. Ensinou em grandes festivais de dan\u00e7a de forma independente, por exemplo: Swing Zouk Weekend (Fortaleza, BRA), Rio Zouk Congress (Rio de Janeiro, BRA), F.I.E.L. (Bras\u00edlia, BRA), Dutch Zouk Congress (Breda, HOL), I&#8217;m Zouk Festival (Miami, USA), MAC Project (Paris, FRA), LA BKS Festival (Los Angeles, USA), SF Zouk Me Summer Fest (San Francisco, USA), ZoukTime Congress (Brno, CZE), The Brazilian Open (Fortaleza, BRA), entre outros eventos.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Foi, tamb\u00e9m, uma das respons\u00e1veis pelo crescimento do Zouk no estado da Calif\u00f3rnia, nos Estados Unidos. Onde Joe Sandoval a contratou, com ajuda de Igor Fraga, para trabalhar no crescimento da Cena durante um ano, entre 2014 e 2015. Nos Estados Unidos, desenvolveu projetos, como: Zouk California, site com informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre Zouk; o Brazilian Zouk OC, evento semanal em Orange County; Zouk SF, evento semanal em San Francisco, entre outros.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Recentemente, faz parte da equipe de palestrantes e professores convidados do Projeto MAC (Paris, Fran\u00e7a): Curso de professores baseado no M\u00e9todo Alex de Carvalho, criado e organizado por Alex de Carvalho. O Projeto MAC j\u00e1 est\u00e1 se expandindo para outros pa\u00edses. \u00c9, tamb\u00e9m, um dos ju\u00edzes oficiais do Brazilian Zouk Dance Council. Julgou, entre outras, a primeira competi\u00e7\u00e3o oficial J&amp;J de Zouk no Rio Zouk Congress (Rio de Janeiro, Brasil; 2016); e a primeira competi\u00e7\u00e3o oficial de J&amp;J de Zouk avan\u00e7ado no Mundo, no Rio Zouk Congress (Rio de Janeiro, Brasil;2019). Al\u00e9m de competir nas competi\u00e7\u00f5es de Jack and Jill, na categoria All Star\/Champion.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\"><div dir=\"auto\">Eterna aluna, est\u00e1 sempre procurando por conhecimento e novos desafios. Atualmente, vem estudando West Coast Swing (2010), Kizomba (2011) e, ultimamente, Dan\u00e7as Urbanas.
