However, it was only in 2006 that he really began to dive deep into dance as a work-study trainee of the Jaime Aroxa Dance School in Rio de Janeiro, one of the most prestigious dance schools in Brazil, which trained some of the most renowned dancers in the country. During his 6 years as a member of the school&#8217;s team, he learned all Brazilian partner dances (Forr\u00f3, Samba de Gafieira, Soltinho, Bolero and Zouk) and Argentine Tango. As he matured more as a dancer, he found he preferred to focus less on the steps and more on turning partner dancing into a relaxing experience for the mind and body.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>In 2009, on his first visit to Buenos Aires, Argentina, he was introduced to the authentic tango hug &#8211; the close embrace &#8211; and all of its complexity and power to create the ultimate feeling of \u201cconforto, cuidado e entrega\u201d &#8211; comfort, care and surrender. After that, he continued learning from other remarkable instructors in Brazil, including Fabiano Vivas, Kelly Reis, \u00c9rico Rodrigo, Guilherme Pimentel, L\u00eddio Freitas and many others; and went on to research the close embrace and its application to all partner dances, with the purpose of conveying a sense of well-being and relaxation between dance partners.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Apart from dance, Gui also studied and worked as a tantric massage therapist. This work helped him to create a unique perspective of human nature, as well as a deep understanding of the capabilities of the human body. His investigation of the close embrace continued over the years, and through many sources both inside and outside of the dance world. These studies guided him to form a multidisciplinary understanding of dancing and connecting in close embrace as a healing and therapeutic experience. Due to its versatility in movement, music, speed and approach, Brazilian Zouk became the perfect dance to apply this concept and explore the possibilities, which he has been doing since 2016, when he attended the first Zouk Retreat in Valencia, led by Xandy Liberato, Brenda Carvalho and Anderson Mendes. After that, his research on partner dancing took a new direction, as he continued working with Brenda and Anderson to seek for the application of the concepts explored at the retreat in different ways by using the references of the other Brazilian partner dances and tantra. <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Currently, he continues to develop the idea of partner dancing as a true therapeutic experience, having dancing in close embrace and the basics as the focus point. Although Gui started his career less than one year ago, he was able to develop and improve this concept through a workshop called \u201cThe Universe Behind the Hug\u201d, which visited 7 cities around the US and was attended by dozens of people. Besides that, Gui had the opportunity to teach in 4 Brazilian Zouk congresses together with Hannah Miller-Jones and Ashley Kent; one Brazilian Zouk retreat in Seattle; a new workshop about the origins of Brazilian Zouk called \u201cFinding Zouk\u201d and a new workshop with Brenda and Anderson called \u201cThink and Feel\u201d.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Gui spend his last year in Washington DC, US, developing the local community with regular, weekly and progressive classes. This work allowed him to acquire a rich perspective and experience in community building with focus in quality, integration and, most importantly, fun! <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Kelsey started dancing tap, jazz, and ballet at the age of five, later adding lyrical, modern, and many others. She first tried partner dancing in college, and focused on Argentine Tango until graduation. She loved the feeling she found in Tango of gliding and flying seamlessly with another person, and would keep trying to find that same feeling in various partner dances later on. After returning from the Peace Corps, she started taking Salsa and Bachata classes, and fell in love with Brazilian Zouk from the first moment she saw it. She started taking classes as part of the first cohort of Zouk dancers in Seattle during the scene\u2019s founding, and has been a passionate member of the Seattle Zouk scene ever since. She currently co-runs the Advanced Zouk Team at Salsa Con Todo in Seattle and travels and teaches with Gui, hoping to imbue others with the feelings of seamlessness, circularity, relaxation, and care she fell in love with.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1902\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Portugu\u00eas<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1902\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1902\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><p><strong>Inpirado pelo filme \u201cDan\u00e7a Comigo?\u201d, Gui Prada come\u00e7ou a dan\u00e7ar em 2004. Mas, foi s\u00f3 em 2006 que ele realmente mergulhou de cabe\u00e7a na dan\u00e7a de sal\u00e3o como bolsista da Escola de Dan\u00e7a Jaime Ar\u00f4xa \u2013 Botafogo, uma das mais prestigiadas escolas de dan\u00e7a do Brasil, que treinou alguns dos mais renomados profissionais da \u00e1era. Durante seus seis anos como membro da equipe da escola, ele aprendeu todas as dan\u00e7as de sal\u00e3o brasileiras e Tango. Com o tempo, ele preferiu focar menos nos passos e mais em transformar a dan\u00e7a de sal\u00e3o em uma experi\u00eancia relaxante para mente e corpo.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Em 2009, em sua primeira visita a Buenos Aires, Argentina, ele foi apresentado ao aut\u00eantico abra\u00e7o tangueiro e toda sua complexidade e poder de criar incr\u00edveis sensa\u00e7\u00f5es de conforto, cuidado e entrega. Ap\u00f3s essa experi\u00eancia, ele voltou a Buenos Aires anualmente e continuou seu aprendizado com outros profissionais incr\u00edveis como Fabiano Vivias, Kelly Reis, \u00c9rico Rodrigo, Guilherme Pimentel e muitos outros; e continuou sua pesquisa em abra\u00e7o fechado e suas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es a todas as dan\u00e7as de sal\u00e3o, com o prop\u00f3sito de transmitir sensa\u00e7\u00f5es de bem-estar e relaxamento entre os parceiros.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Al\u00e9m da dan\u00e7a, Gui tamb\u00e9m estudou e trabalhou com massagem t\u00e2ntrica. Esse trabalho o ajudou a criar uma perspectiva \u00fanica da natureza humana, bem como um profundo entendimento das capacidades do corpo humano. Sua investiga\u00e7\u00e3o do abra\u00e7o fechado continuou atrav\u00e9s dos anos e atrav\u00e9s de muitas fontes dentro e fora do mundo da dan\u00e7a. Esses estudos o guiaram a uma forma multidisciplinar de entendimento de dan\u00e7a, tendo o abra\u00e7o dan\u00e7ante como uma experi\u00eancia terap\u00eautica e curativa. Devido \u00e0 sua versatilidade em movimento, m\u00fasica, velocidade e approach, O Zouk Brasileiro tornou-se a dan\u00e7a perfeita para aplicar esse conceito e explorar possibilidades, o que ele tem feito desde 2016, quando participou do primeiro retiro de Zouk em Val\u00eancia, liderado por Xandy Liberato, Brenda Carvalho e Anderson Mendes. Depois disso, sua pesquisa em dan\u00e7a de sal\u00e3o tomou um novo rumo, conforme ele continuou trabalhando com Brenda e Anderson na busca pela aplica\u00e7\u00e3o dos conceitos explorados no retiro de diferentes maneiras atrav\u00e9s da utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o das refer\u00eancias das outras dan\u00e7as brasileiras e do tantra.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Atualmente, ele continua a desenvolver a ideia de dan\u00e7a de sal\u00e3o como uma experi\u00eancia terap\u00eautica, tendo o abra\u00e7o fechado e os b\u00e1sicos como ponto focal. N\u00e3o obstante Gui tenha come\u00e7ado sua carreira h\u00e1 pouco mais de uma ano, ele foi capaz de desenvolver e melhorar o conceito da dan\u00e7a de sal\u00e3o como terapia atrav\u00e9s de um workshop chamado \u201cO Universo por tr\u00e1s do Abra\u00e7o\u201d, que visitou 7 cidades nos Estados Unidos. Al\u00e9m disso, e vendo a import\u00e2ncia do ensino das origens do Zouk Brasileiro na cena americana, ele desenvolveu o workshop chamado \u201cFinding Zouk\u201d, onde ele mostra as m\u00fasicas e movimentos da dan\u00e7a h\u00e1 mais de dez anos atr\u00e1s.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Gui passou um ano em Washington DC, EUA, desenvolvendo a comunidade local com aulas regulares semanais e progressivas. Esse trabalho o ajudou a adquirir uma rica perspectiva e experi\u00eancia em constru\u00e7\u00e3o de comunidade com foco em qualidade, integra\u00e7\u00e3o e, mais importante, divers\u00e3o! <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Kelsey come\u00e7ou a dan\u00e7ar sapateado, jazz e bal\u00e9 aos cinco anos, acrescentando mais tarde l\u00edrico, moderno e muitos outros. Ela tentou parceria pela primeira vez na faculdade e se concentrou no tango argentino at\u00e9 a formatura. Ela adorou a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o que encontrou no Tango de planar e voar perfeitamente com outra pessoa, e continuaria tentando encontrar essa mesma sensa\u00e7\u00e3o em v\u00e1rias dan\u00e7as de casal mais tarde. Depois de voltar do Peace Corps, ela come\u00e7ou a fazer aulas de Salsa e Bachata, e se apaixonou pelo Zouk brasileiro desde o primeiro momento que o viu. Ela come\u00e7ou a ter aulas como parte do primeiro grupo de dan\u00e7arinos Zouk em Seattle durante a funda\u00e7\u00e3o da cena, e tem sido uma pessoa apaixonada da cena do Zouk de Seattle desde ent\u00e3o.
