Alex de Carvalho
Alex de Carvalho, dance artist and entrepreneur, has begun his career at dance in 1996 by joining Jaime Arôxa’s Dance Centre. Alex’s constantly requested to participate as a dance performer in TV shows, series and soap operas in Brazil, and his services as consultant and coach are seeked by many Ballroom Dance Schools in Brazil. One of his most important jobs at television took place at “Dança Dos Famosos”, Brazilian version of the worlwide known TV show, Dancing With The Stars, when he taught and partnered with Hortência Marcari, former and internationally known basketball player.
Alex teaches many dancing styles in his school, located at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has taught dance in more than 200 Dance Congress and Workshops in Brazil and also worldwide (Argentina, Switzerland, Nederlands, France, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Austria, New Zealand, Singapore and Australia).
In 2009, Alex de Carvalho has earned the Medalha Tiradentes, the most important award in Rio De Janeiro’s state, thanks to his dedication to Dance, on behalf of Culture, Education and Social Inclusion. Alex de Carvalho has taught many of the world’s leading Zouk Lambada Dancers including Kadu Pires & Larissa Thayane, Carlos Oliveira & Daniela Wergles, Rafael Oliveira & Juliana Magalhães, Willian Teixeira & Paloma Alves and Alisson & Audrey.
Alex has been traveling around the world for years with more than 200 events attended (many of these in Australia). And his classes a fun, energetic and full of love and technique for his students.
To date, resides in Paris, France.
