From Fortaleza to the world, Ruana has accumulated 20 years of dance experience, having visited 21 countries. Although she has experience in various partner dances, such as Forró, Salsa, Kizomba, Bachata, WCS, Samba, and Bolero, she has specialized in Brazilian Zouk and Lambada.
She is one of the directors of the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council (BZDC), in addition to serving as a judge and competing in the Champion category. In 2022, she took 1st place in the JnJ All-Star/Champion division at the Brazilian Zouk World Championship, and in 2024, she was crowned World Champion in the solo category. Ruana has also judged other important competitions, such as the Zouk Open in São Paulo and the International Zouk Championship in Rio de Janeiro.
Since 2017, she has been a guest teacher and speaker at Alex de Carvalho’s teacher training course (MAC) in Paris, and will be a speaker at Layssa Valentina’s teacher training course in Bali in 2024.
Ruana is recognized for promoting community growth and being a pioneer in developing a successful solo career as a female artist. She stands out for her versatility as both a leader and follower, her skill in different styles, improvisation, refined technique, practical teaching approach, and captivating energy..
