Ruana works with dance and events since 2006 and, nowadays, is an International renowned dancer and
instructor, specializing in Brazilian Zouk.
She acts as choreographer, coach, judge, competitor, event producer and promoter as well.
Currently, she has been requested as a consultant to promote the development of zouk community in different
places, in Brazil, USA and Europe.
Dance lover, she also practices Argentine Tango, Salsa (Cuban, on1, on2), Cha cha cha, Bachata, Samba, Bolero,
Soltinho, Forró, kizomba, West Coast Swing and attended ballet, jazz, belly dance and gymnastics artistic classes.
She has participated in workshops, events, national and international festivals throughout Brazil, Europe, Mexico
and the United States. Among them, some of the biggest and most important zouk festivals in the world.
For her adaptability as follower, she is known for dance any style and follow any leader. She also mastered the
art of leading, being one of the pioneers women to develop her work, independent of a partner, in Zouk world.
However, she also has worked in partnership with several internationally renowned zouk professionals.
Her studies and work are grounded in technique and connection, always trying to contextualize about the history
and the essence of this dance.
All this mixed with her unique, funny, and engaging personality. Her goal is spread her love for Brazilian Zouk and inspire
people to dance in everywhere!
